Your credit report

What is a credit report

Your credit report is simply the information that lenders have shared with Infact about you and your financial products.

Infact shares your credit report with lenders under certain circumstances such as when you apply for a mortgage, a loan, or change the limit on an existing credit card or overdraft. There are many different situations when you credit report can be shared, detailed in our Privacy Policy.

Your credit report can have a material impact on your ability to access financial services. Infact is a small credit reference agency and the Big 3 CRAs (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) will have a lot more information so it's worth checking out the credit reports that they have on you as well. Each CRA can hold different information, depending on which lenders report to them, so each report will look different.

What is a statutory report?

Your statutory report is effectively your credit report. It's called 'statutory' because you have a legal right to view it. Each credit bureau has an obligation to provide you with your statutory report for free! Bear in mind that it will not be a complete report unless you have contacted all three of the Big 3 CRAs as they may each hold slightly different information about you and your credit accounts.

All of the data that Infact stores relating to you, and your credit information is detailed within it including payments made, payments missed or defaults.
