We are a Credit Reference Agency.

We work with regulated lenders to help them provide credit in a responsible way.

That means that we try to help people get access to credit when they want and when it is appropriate for them.

Sometimes lenders decide that now is not the right time to lend to people and they sometimes do this based on the information that we share with them. We aim to work with responsible lenders who are trying to do the right thing by lending to customers who they think can afford to repay their credit. By not lending to people who cannot afford to repay they are protecting people from over-extending their finances and potentially having to miss repayments. You may have heard of The Big 3 credit reference agencies Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion; well, we are a lot smaller than them, and we do something slightly different that should help make people’s financial lives better.

The difference between Infact and the other credit reference agencies is that we try to keep the information we store about you more up-to-date so that your credit report with Infact is a more accurate representation of your finances.
